Privacy Policy

The MUN Factory is a Pan-India youth leadership initiative that organises Model UN summits, bootcamps and allied programmes. For questions about this policy or your data, write to themunfactory@gmail.com.

• Registration details: name, email address, phone number, school or college, class/year, city, area and full address.
• Parent/guardian contact: father’s and mother’s phone numbers, where provided, so we can reach a guardian during the event.
• Programme choices: committee and portfolio preferences, allotments, add-ons and event-day check-in records.
• Payment reference: the UPI transaction ID you enter. We do not collect or store card numbers, UPI PINs or bank credentials.
• Profile photo: optional, used only to print your official TMF ID card.
• Registrations: details you submit when registering as a delegate, delegation or Shark Tank TMF participant.
• Site signals: pages visited, device and browser type, referrer and approximate region — collected with your cookie consent.

• To process your registration, verify payment and confirm your seat.
• To allot committees and portfolios and issue delegate IDs, passes and ID cards.
• To run check-in at the venue and keep an accurate attendance record.
• To send you official updates: briefings, deadlines, venue changes and study material.
• To contact a parent or guardian in case of an emergency during the event.
• To improve the website and understand which programmes people are interested in.

Most of our participants are school students. If you are under 18, please register with the knowledge and consent of a parent or guardian, and share guardian contact details in the form. A parent, guardian or school may ask us at any time to review, correct or delete a minor’s information by writing to us from the guardian’s or school’s email address.

When you first open the site we ask for your cookie preference. Essential cookies keep the portal working (for example, your delegate session). Analytics signals — page views, device type and referrer — are only recorded if you accept them. You can reject non-essential cookies and still use the site and register normally.

We do not sell your data. We share the minimum necessary information with service providers who help us operate: our hosting and database provider, our email delivery provider (for confirmation and announcement emails), and, where required, the venue or institutional partner for entry and safety purposes. We may disclose information if legally required.

Registration and event records are retained for the current edition of TMF and for a reasonable period afterwards for records, certificates and alumni communication. Lead enquiries are retained only for follow-up. You may ask us to delete your data once the event and any related certification is complete.

Delegate data sits behind access-controlled database rules; portal passwords are stored in hashed form, and profile photos are kept in a private storage bucket accessed through short-lived signed links. Only authorised Secretariat and core team members can view registration records. No online system is perfectly secure, so please keep your delegate ID and password private.

• Update your own contact, school and address details in the delegate portal.
• Ask us to correct your name, email or allotment record.
• Ask for a copy of your data, or ask us to delete it.
• Withdraw cookie consent by clearing your browser data and choosing again.
